Kris has been an Edmontonian for almost 20 years but grew up in the small town of Fort McMurray, prior to its boom. After she graduated, this small town girl moved to Calgary to pursue an Education career, specializing in Special Needs, which eventually led her to transfer to the U of A and move to Edmonton. After realizing that her child hood dream of being a teacher was not where her passion laid, she applied to NAIT & went into Marketing. A few years later while working as a bank teller & after having conversations with numerous agents, she decided to take the Real Estate course & passed! As scary as it was, she knew the career change just made sense for this then single mom of a 4 year old.
“I came into the Real Estate industry when homes were being sold before lawn signs were even ordered. It was a rush but also extremely scary with how fast everything was happening, especially for a newbie.”
The fast paced real estate market of 2006 was what drew Kris into the industry more so & after over 13 years of being in it now, she can say she has survived the ups & downs of it’s cycle. Kris’ loyal clients appreciate her consistent & reliable work ethic. She is a professional that uses her negotiation skills & knowledge of the market to help her clients achieve their dream home or sell their real estate to capitalize on it’s equity. She works with a variety of clients, from first time Buyers/Business owners to experienced Investors & Multi-million Companies, & has been a Realtor for families that once were one but then are four or more, with referrals from their extended family & friends.
Kris spent almost a decade working for Century 21 where she was taught may skills & made many lasting friendships with her associates, but then switched to Coldwell Banker to expand her expertise into Commercial division. She has now decided to make the move the be a Re/Max agent so that she can help her clients with both Residential & Commercial needs.
“Joining Select, I’m confident that not only the Re/Max brand will play a part in aiding to my career (as it already has) since they do capture 40% of the market share, but that the incredible support & knowledge I’m surrounded amongst within the Owner/Managers & Top Producers, will provide me with more tools to continue my years in the industry for another 13 or so.”
